2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

I’m pretty sure the “Cabernet” color your sister painted her bedroom when she first moved out was named for this specific wine - super rich, velvety red, and gorgeous. The big bold flavors keep on coming with a nose filled with coriander, Bing cherry, blackberry, graphite, sweet pipe tobacco, saddle leather, and a touch of strawberry cream.

There is more cherry when you start sipping, only this time it comes with chocolate, almonds, sea salt, clove, and cumin. It changed so much over the 2 hours I “studied” it for these notes, I can’t wait to see where it is in another 5 years.

With fantastic acidity, this wine is drawn to red sauce and cheese – whether that be ricotta-stuffed cannelloni, enchiladas rojas, meatball lasagna, or chile rellenos, it’s gunna be a good night.
