2017 Merlot

All sorts of mouthwatering fruit hit you right out of the bottle with our 13th vintage of Walla Walla Valley Merlot. Pomegranate, blueberry, and cherry each take their turn washing over your senses. As the wine opens up, the more nuanced notes of chalk, clay, honeysuckle, and birch bark appear with a final coup de grace of high-end dark chocolate with sea salt and almonds.

This is one of those wines meant for the fall and winter weather. It will inspire you to fill the longer evenings with friends and family gathered in the kitchen, sampling, testing, and tasting, finding the perfect pairing. I’d suggest starting off with cheesy polenta and topping it with your favorite items: mushrooms, or chorizo, or just more cheese. Make sure to add some herb in with it all and you will find your ideal combo.
